Now Offering DBT Skills Training for Teen Anxiety, Depression & Anger.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an empirically supported treatment that aims to teach skills and strategies that help to regulate emotions and improve relationships. There are four main categories of skills: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

Group therapy focused on teaching DBT skills to teens can be a helpful adjunct to individual therapy aimed at treating anxiety and depression. The group format allows teens to practice new skills and coping strategies while connecting to peers who are facing similar difficulties.

If your teen is struggling to cope with their emotions, we can help. Join McCaskill Family Services for an 8-week DBT Skills group, run by Psychologists at our Plymouth location.
