Help for Parents of Troubled Teens
Are You a Parent of a Struggling Teen?
Behind most teens that are struggling, whether from anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, or acting out behaviors, are parents that are struggling to cope and parent them. Many parents feel like they are walking on eggshells, feel guilty or inadequate, and struggle with what to do during a crisis.
Our parent support group is designed to give parents a safe place to talk about what they are going through, exchange ideas with other parents, and access professional advice and strategies from licensed psychologists.

Struggling to manage your child’s behavior? Having difficulty adjusting to the shifting roles and increasing demands associated with your children being out of school, while trying to work, manage the home and take care of yourself at the same time? Many families are experiencing increased stress related to the changes in their daily schedules with children being home from school, working from home, decreased access to recreational activities and reduced independent time and space due to closures in schools and businesses related to COVID-19. Our parenting strategies and support group provides coaching in evidence-based and effective parenting strategies to stabilize your family system, manage your child’s behavior, improve child compliance, enhance family stress management, improve parent-child relationships, and assist families with adjusting to the unique circumstances we are in currently. The group meetings will cover creating routine and structure within the home, setting healthy expectations for yourself and your children, increasing your child’s ability to play independently and respect parental space when needed, training the whole family in stress management and coping skills, positive parenting strategies which improve the parent-child relationship, child compliance, and child emotion regulation, as well as effective behavior management and consequence techniques. Group members also will have the option to schedule individual “break out” sessions to receive additional coaching an support in any of the topic areas covered. Teletherapy uniquely offers the opportunity for these break out sessions to occur in your home via video conference, which can allow for in-the-moment coaching and adapting techniques to meet your specific needs.
We are offering the entire group series at very low cost at this time (over $800 in savings!):
- $99.00 total cost of group for 2 days/week per parent/couple
- $165.00 each for additional individualized break out sessions (optional)
