
Caitlin Mahoney, B.A., M.S., TLLP
Caitlin Mahoney received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Dayton and her M.S. in general clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She has experience in college counseling, residential treatment, college academic assistance, and applied behavior analysis. Caitlin completed her Master's practicum at EMU's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Additionally, during her time at EMU, she served as a graduate assistant success coach, where she aided students in navigating the university and developing study strategies that suited their learning style, often with academically underserved and neurodivergent students.
Caitlin's clinical interests include anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, interpersonal conflicts, and equine-assisted therapy. Her integrative orientation includes third-wave modern behavioral therapies, specifically acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). Caitlin approaches each client from a humanistic and systems perspective and is committed to providing advocacy and agency to her clients.
Caitlin enjoys artistic and equestrian pursuits and has been involved in both communities most of her life. She hopes to share the empowerment and confidence that creative expression and horsemanship can impart with her clients.
Caitlin is supervised by Dr. Amanda Klingensmith and Dr. Nicole Wozniak.
